Those who made Nevada Day 2019 possible — the volunteers who put in hundreds of hours of organizing and preparing — were celebrated Thursday evening at a Carson City dinner held at Casino Fandango.
“It takes an army to put on the Nevada Day parade and tonight we are honoring all the wonderful volunteers," said Nevada Day executive director Ken Hamilton.
This year Nevada celebrated its 155th birthday, and also marked the 81 year since the Nevada Day Celebration moved to Carson City, featuring the spectacular Silver State parade in downtown Carson City.
It was a volunteer effort of hundreds that made the Silver State's birthday possible. Thank you volunteers!
